Welcome to Mudgee Passenger Transport, for your private Mudgee wine tours.
How much does a Mudgee wine tour cost?
Half-Day Wine Tour (4 hours) is $280 for up to 4 people, then $70 per extra person — ideal for 2–3 wineries and lunch.
Full-Day Wine Tour (6.5 hours) is $360 for up to 4 people, then $80 per extra person, suited to 3–5 wineries and a long lunch.
Full-Day tour for 2 people only is $280.
Wine tastings are an extra $10–$20 per person, paid upon booking at each cellar door — this isn't included in the tour price.
How many wineries can I visit in a day?
Most groups fit 2–3 wineries into a half-day tour, or 3–5 into a full-day tour, depending on lunch plans, travel time between cellar doors, and how long you want at each stop. We don't recommend more than 5 as tasting experience drops off.
How many people can travel in the vehicle?
One of our vehicles seats up to 6 passengers comfortably. A 12 seat van is available and seats up to 11 passengers. Both vehicles can be used for larger groups.
Do you operate like a taxi, or do I need to book ahead?
No — Mudgee Passenger Transport is a pre-booked private service, not a taxi. All wine tours and transfers are booked in advance with your date, pick-up location, and passenger numbers confirmed before the day.
Can I choose my own wineries, or do you plan the day?
Both. You can name the exact wineries you want to visit, or leave the itinerary to us and we'll build a route based on your pace, lunch plans, and preferences.
Where do you pick up from?
Hotels, motels, Airbnbs, farm stays, holiday parks, and private accommodation anywhere in Mudgee. If you're staying just outside town, contact us — we can usually accommodate it.
What's included in the price?
Private transport exclusive to your group, a dedicated driver for the full booking, pick-up and drop-off anywhere in Mudgee, flexible itinerary planning, and a clean, comfortable vehicle. Wine tastings are usually paid by the client upon making a booking at each winery. Lunch is usually booked in advanced and paid separately at the venue.
Is the tour private, or shared with other groups?
Fully private. Your vehicle and driver are exclusive to your group for the entire booking — no shared buses, no other passengers.
What are your operating hours?
Wine tours run daily, 9:30am–6pm, seven days a week.
Do you allow dogs on wine tours?
Yes - Our wine tours are dog friendly. We ask owners to notify in advance that their furry friend is joining the tour.
What's your cancellation policy?
We understand things happen. Just let us know as early as possible if planning to cancel your tour.
If a payment has been paid in advance, the following applies to cancellations:
Cancellations made more than 72 hours before your tour receive a full refund.
Cancellations made within 48 hours are non-refundable, as your driver has been reserved exclusively for your group.
Are you a licensed operator?
Yes — Mudgee Passenger Transport is an Authorised Booking Service Provider (BSP-457926) under NSW Point to Point Transport regulations.
